Mermaids of the Caribbean™ is a brand of LaMesed Publishing, based in Ontario, Canada. This page explains what we collect, why, and how to get it removed.

Who this site is for

Our books and songs are made for children. This website and our email list are for adults — parents, caregivers, educators and librarians. We ask that children do not sign up themselves. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us their details, contact us and we will delete them promptly.

What we collect

Email address and first name — only when you choose to sign up for the free activity book or the Mermaid Club.
Basic site analytics — pages viewed, general region and device type, so we know which books and songs people find useful. This does not identify you personally.
Messages you send us — anything you include when you contact us.

We do not ask for a child's name, age, photograph, school or location anywhere on this site.

How we use it

To send the free activity book you asked for.
To let you know about new books, songs and Mermaid Club material.
To answer your questions.

We do not sell, rent or trade your information. Ever.

Who else is involved

We use trusted service providers to run the site and our email list — a website host, an email marketing platform, and music and bookselling platforms we link out to. Each has its own privacy policy. When you follow a link to Amazon, Spotify, YouTube or a social platform, you are on their site and under their terms.

Unsubscribe — every email has a one-click unsubscribe link at the bottom.
See, correct or delete your information — just ask, and we will action it.
Withdraw consent at any time.
